Datta, Hamilton, and Sibilia appointed to VSJF Board

The Vermont Sustainable Jobs Fund (VSJF) announces the appointment of Aditi Datta of Winooski, Jean Hamilton of Plainfield and Laura Sibilia of Dover to the board of directors. VSJF is a nonprofit organization focused on sustainable economic development in the agriculture and food system, forest product, waste management, renewable energy and environmental technology sectors.
Aditi Datta
Datta currently works as a Brand Lead at Breef, a tech startup connecting brands with marketing agencies around the world. Before joining Breef, she worked as an account manager at various boutique agencies with clients including Nalgene, Gatorade, Omni Foods and Pepsi. Before this, she spent a year with the Vermont Small Business Development Center as a Special Programs Manager helping business owners navigate the pandemic support efforts. Datta received her MBA in Sustainable Innovation from the University of Vermont and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Skidmore College. She was recognized as a “Rising Star” by Vermont Business Magazine in 2020 and serves on the board of BTV Ignite.
Jean Hamilton
Hamilton is the director of mission and impact for Skinny Pancake, where she manages and directs mission related programming for staff, guests, and community partners. She helped launch ShiftMeals, Skinny Pancake’s local food response to the troublesome COVID-19 pandemic. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, she did incredible work as the statewide coordinator for VT Everyone Eats, a statewide program contacting VT restaurants to provide emergency meals to Vermonters with impacted access to food. Before VT Everyone Eats, Hamilton worked as a business consultant for Jean Hamilton Consulting where she provided consulting services to over 20 food and farming businesses. In 2018 she served as the business manager for Farmers To You where she oversaw financial management of an over $3 million budget. From 2012 to 2015 Hamilton was the special projects manager and communications director for Black River Produce. Here she managed software, coordinated financing tools, and managed and implemented a communications plan.
Laura Sibilia
Sibilia is an elected Member of the Vermont House of Representatives for the Windham/Bennington District. She also serves as the Vice Chair of the Energy and Technology Committee and is the Co-Chair of the House Rural Caucus and the Vermont National Guard and Veterans Affairs Caucus. Along with this, she is employed as the Director of Regional Strategies for the Brattleboro Development Credit Corporation where she has led regional efforts to help businesses recover from the flooding of T.S. Irene in 2011. She is the point of contact for Southeastern Vermont Economic Development Strategies (SeVEDS) which has completed a Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy for the Windham Region in 2013 and for the Southern Vermont Zone in 2019. Laura has also served on the Dover School Board since 2003 and co-founded the 501c3 Deerfield Valley Troop Support Group in 2002.
