The Vermont Sustainable Jobs Fund (VSJF) announces the hire of Hannah Baxter as Farm to Plate Network Manager. VSJF is a nonprofit organization focused on economic prosperity, ecological health, and social connectivity of people, businesses, organizations and communities in Vermont for the benefit and well-being of all who live here. As the Farm to Plate Network Manager, Baxter is responsible for providing facilitative leadership and project management to the Farm to Plate Network’s Priority Strategy Teams, Communities of Practice, and Topic Exchanges. Previously, she worked as the Food Access Manager at the Intervale Center in Burlington managing gleaning programs, year-round free food distributions, and emerging issues related to food security.

Hannah holds a bachelor’s degree in environmental studies from the University of Vermont. Originally from the upper valley, she began her career in food systems working at Vermont vegetable farms and restaurants. Serving as an Americorps member with Healthy Roots Collaborative, she built a gleaning program serving Franklin and Grand Isle counties in Vermont. She is excited to bring her diverse food system background to support the Networks focus areas of food access, healthcare and community health, workforce development and education systems, racial equity, farmland access and land use planning, and community development.
